Provided with the overall medical background of BTCH, Department of International Medical Services (IMS) is dedicated to rendering world-class healthcare services to staffs of foreign embassies in China, foreigners residing in China, as well as domestic executives. IMS is a key part of internationalization of this hospital. It’s positioned to provide international medical services and cater for diversified medical demands of patients. IMS adopts one-stop model of care, and offers exclusive team management during the whole medical procedure, from expert clinic appointment, examination, hospitalization, surgery to post-operative follow-up examination.

As one of the pilot medical institutions of international medical services in Beijing, BTCH took lead in releasingits outpatient appointment resources on English online appointment platform of “Jingtong”: Beijing 114 Appointment and Registration Service Platform. Foreigners in need can make appointment online through different approaches. Our IMSteam is capable of communicating in the following seven languages, including English, Japanese, German etc. Language support guaranteesbarrier-free communication and smooth medical procedure for international patients. Standard bilingual signs are displayed in this hospital. Exclusive information desk and English-speaking coordinator are available in IMS. Featured by specialized disease centers and MDT, IMS clinic consists of over 100 physicians from 43 clinical departments and provides case management service to individual patients.

The joint model of care between hospitalists and specialists is implemented in IMS inpatient care. IMS physicians and specialists related to patient’ diseases work together in providing care. With an integration of general and specialized care, all-around safeguarding of patient health and safety is ensured. 

IMS hassigned direct billing agreements with 30 well-known commercial insurance providers both at home and abroad. Standard direct billing procedures for outpatient and inpatient commercial insurance holders have been established.
