On April 27th, the press conference for Beijing Tsinghua hospital’s global recruitment was held in Tsinghua’s main building. Wang Zhihua, Deputy Secretary-general of Tsinghua university and executive vice commander of hospital construction headquarter released the information of global recruitment. This is the first global recruitment for dean and academic leaders in 3A grade hospitals in Beijing area.

　　The hospital will mainly recruit dean of Beijing Tsinghua Hospital and academic leaders of clinical departments this time. As the leader of the development of clinical medicine construction of Tsinghua University, the dean of Beijing Tsinghua Hospital will be responsible for establishing clinical development plan at Tsinghua University, recruiting clinical medicine talents, and constructing a high-quality clinical medicine system. Academic leaders will be in charge of establishing discipline development plan, constructing talents teams in the departments and developing discipline features.

　　Wang Zhihua noted that the dean and academic leaders will be imported as top-level talents of Tsinghua University. They will be appointed as professors of Tsinghua’s School of medicine. They can take part in the evaluation of “Tsinghua University Outstanding Talents Import project” and “100 Talents Program of Tsinghua University”. They also could be recommended for “National Thousand Scholars Project” or “Changjiang Scholar of Ministry of Education”. They will enjoy welfare of Top-level talents imported at Tsinghua University.

　　The foundation of Beijing Tsinghua Hospital was laid on April 20th. It is a large comprehensive public hospital of Tsinghua University., co-constructed by Tsinghua University and Taiwan Changgung memorial hospital.

　　Beijing Tsinghua Hospital will build a modern hospital management system by combining advanced experience of mainland hospital and the management experience of Taiwan Changgung Memorial Hospital. We will explore a whole new mode of public hospital reform and development. We plan to build an internalized first-class medicine center. At the same time, as a afflicted hospital of Tsinghua University, the hospital will take the advantage of talent cultivation and crossing disciplines in Tsinghua University to build a high-level medicine research platform connected medicine with science and social discipline. The aim of the hospital is to build a first-class clinical teaching hospital and cultivate internationalized medical talents.

　　Chen Jining, Deputy President of Tsinghua University, said that Tsinghua University will have its 100th anniversary in 2011, and vigorously developing medicine and life science was the long-term development strategy of Tsinghua university and also an important part of building Tsinghua a world first-class university.
