BEIJING, Nov. 29th (Siyang Wang) On November 28th, 2014, Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital Affiliated to Tsinghua University officially opened. This year, celebrating its third anniversary, the hospital has launched a series of activities, including academic events, symposium, exhibits and a celebration party.
The main event of the day was a Free Consultation Campaign held on the first to third floor of the hospital’s outpatient area. A total of 43 doctors from 28 departments participated in the campaign, offering free medical consultation to all participating patients, as a gesture of the hospital giving back to society and promoting national health.
“Over the past three years, the hospital has striven to provide quality medical and healthcare service to our patients. We have gathered experts from all fields around the world, and I am proud to represent an excellent and highly competent team. In the future, we will continuously endeavor to construct a warm, caring and patient-oriented hospital.” Executive President Prof. Dong Jiahong said before the campaign began.
“We would like to thank Tsinghua University, Beijing Municipal Administration of Hospitals and other organizations for their help and support, and are very grateful to all patients who trust us during the past few years. The hospital will further improve service efficiency and quality, aiming to become a world-class medical center. ” Ms. Zhou Yuehong, Secretary of the Hospital Party Committee said.
As a non-profit comprehensive public institution, Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital is dedicated to public service. The hospital has sponsored more than 200 health lectures and consultations in communities during the past three years, serving and educating up to 10,000 people. To advocate a healthier lifestyle, the hospital has also organized a yearly road marathon and other various sports activities, mobilizing over 15,000 neighboring residents.
Later in the evening, hospital faculty and staff enjoyed a colorful show of singing and dancing, featuring student performers from Tsinghua University, and including choruses from the hospital’s own staff and volunteers. The centerpiece of the evening was a giant birthday cake, which was divided and taken to doctors, nurses and staff on duty that night, and marked the beginning of the next exciting chapter for the hospital.
